Since doors opened in 1964, the Whisky a Go-Go has been known as the anchor on the Sunset Strip for the Los Angeles music scene. It has housed some of the world’s most famous bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Van Halen, Motley Crue to today’s up & coming artists. Also, the Whisky A Go-Go is the first and only surviving venue to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is recognized as a historical landmark. Whisky a Go-Go is a contemporary venue with a classic, historic feel. Whisky is known for continued support of both national and local bands, remains the most legendary and artist friendly venue on the Sunset Strip.
