Location Description
The historical 1922 building where Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub is located was originally the First National Bank of Sherman, the original name of the city of West Hollywood. An impressive structure, the building was designed by Beverly Hills architect Asa Hudson, and embodies the Italian Revival style with its vertical appearance, large circular arched windows, medallions, heavy stone and detailed molding. The building continued to attract high profile tenant’s throughout its history. In its reincarnation as the Larrabee Sound Studio in 1969, many well-known music artists recorded there including Prince, Donna Summer, Patti La Belle and Cher. Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub’s owner, Richard Grossi – also the restaurant’s designer, set out to bring the original design of the building back to life while maintaining its rich history and heritage. Grossi hopes to continue to add to the mystique and recognition of 8811 Santa Monica Boulevard with this one-of-a-kind fine dining and entertainment establishment.
